Early childhood education and care

Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)
With 570,000 members across Canada, CUPE is one of Canada's largest unions, representing workers in child care, health care, education, municipalities, libraries, universities, social services, public utilities, transportation, emergency services and airlines. In addition to representing child care workers at the bargaining table, CUPE has had a long-term commitment to Canada-wide universal non-profit child care as part of its role in improving the quality of life for workers and to social justice for all Canadians. In this regard, CUPE's national child care committee and other CUPE members play a key role in child care advocacy through active collaboration with the Canada-wide child care movement.
